NASCAR
I love to watch NASCAR racing but I have a problem with one aspect. The fact that they call them Fords, Chevys and Dodge, etc. What is needed to refer to cars by manufacturer. Just a shape evidently. Some racing teams even advertise that their parts are from many different sources. I have purchased numerous cars in my life and I have never had options like a tubular exposed frame, racing slicks, decals for lights, brillant paint schemes, removable steering wheels, adjustable suspensions, professionally manufactured engines with 750 hp, elaborate roll cages; just to name a few differences. I don't believe that you could go to a dealer and order any of the body parts either.

So what is it? The fact that a car owner chose to shape the car after a particular manufacturer or did the manufacturer pay the owners to use a particular shape? In the end, it seems fraudulent to insinuate that a Ford, Chevy or Dodge won a race. The teams builders and drivers were the ones that won the race in a car shaped to insinuate it was a Ford, Dodge or Chevy.

I would be interested in hearing your comments on this discussion.
